Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit

Hey world! I'm really sorry that I haven't posted in a while, I have been really busy and didn't have time to post much. Today I'm going to show you the beauty products from the drugstore that I would recommend to someone starting off their makeup collection. I would like to make a disclaimer, you by no means need to purchase or use every item that I talk about, these are just the products that I recommend and think would be great for a beginner. The makeup bag that I have included was from M&S.

The first topic is skin care. I think it is really important to have a good skincare routine. I would always recommend using a liquid cleanser or misellar water rather than wipes, even if you are young as they are much less drying. the one I recommend is the garnier PureActive, it is really good for sensitive skin and doesn't make my eyes sting at all. Its really important to have a good moisturiser and simple are my favorite as they really do what they are meant to and there is plenty to choose from. It is also hand to have a nourishing lip balm and i recomend the maybilline baby lips Dr. Rescue.

For foundation I recommend the Rimmel wake me up. It is very fresh and natural looking. When I wear it I feel like its actually skin, rather than makeup. You may choose to opt for a primer, my favorite is the Max Factor face finity as it is very long lasting and not drying.

For powder I would recommend that Rimmel stay matte particularly if you, like me,have oily skin. It is my favorite powder and was also the first one I ever owned. Sadly my camera wouldn't focus on it very well.

I haven't included a bronzer, because I have quite fair skin they can make me look quite orange, if I do i normally use my este lauder bronze goddess. There is a very good dupe for this by MUA which I would defiantly recommend if you would like to use bronzer. For highlighter I recommend the MUA undress your skin, mine is in the shade pink shimmer and I love it.

For blusher I love the Miss Sporty insta-glow blushes. They are really massively pigmented and are in beautiful shades which are mostly shimmer shades. I have the shades shiny coral which is lovley in autumn becuase it is quite dark and flushed pink which is very very similar to este lauder blusher in tease which is now discontinued.

For eyeshadow I recommend two palettes, they are the maybilline the nudes (or the blushed nudes, whichever you prefer) and the makeup revolution palette in iconic three. The maybilline one has shimmer shades and the revolution a mix of matte and shimmer, They are both really pigmented and I love them.

Mascara is one of my favorite parts of makeup as it really transforms the look. My favorite mascara EVER is the lash sensational. It really makes my lashes look sensational. The wand is very similar the the benefit roller lash, but is a lot more thickening. The different length bristles help to grasp every lash.

For lip products a few options. If you want a matte color I recommend the collection work the color matte lip butter. Mine is in the color pumpkin pie 2, its the only ever orange lipstick that i wear. For a shine finish I recommend the rimmel kate moss. The one i have is the color 38 an its a coral nude pink. For a more soft option i like the maybilline baby lips, mine are in the colors: pink punch, peach kiss, cherry me, and melon mania.
